Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has escalated its efforts against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Jamiat urged TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu and JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar on Sunday to take into account this matter. Jamiat stated that if this bill is approved in the Lok Sabha, then both of these parties backing the BJP government will share the responsibility for it. Jamiat leader Maulana Arshad Madani stated this during the ‘Samvidhan Bachao Sammelan’ held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.
Maulana Arshad Madani, the head of the Jamiat, stated that the citizens of the nation have turned down the BJP’s policies and emerged victorious over it. He mentioned that the government relies on two supports: Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar of Bihar. Arshad Madani stated that he had asked Naidu to attend the event, but he did not show up and instead sent his party’s vice president Nawab Jan.
PTI Bhasha reported that according to Arshad Madani, if the sentiments of Muslims are overlooked in passing the Waqf Bill, Baisakhi (Nitish-Naidu) and other authorities at the Centre will be accountable. The Jamiat plans to organize a meeting of around five hundred thousand Muslims in Chandrababu Naidu’s constituency by the end of this month or in December, during which they will address the issues and feelings of the Muslim community thoroughly. Madani stated that our ancestors founded Waqf as part of Allah’s ownership for constructing mosques.
The leader of Jamiat expressed that the government should safeguard us as we are residents of this nation and did not immigrate from elsewhere. If a Hindu belongs to the Gujjar community, then a Muslim also belongs to the Gujjar community. Hindus and Muslims both belong to the Jat community. They chant that Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs are separate, but we believe that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians are siblings.
Arshad Madani mentioned that Delhi has numerous mosques, with some of them dating back 400 to 500 years. He claimed that a certain area in India is attempting to seize control of these mosques and wondered who could provide documents dating back 500 years. He stated that according to the law, any mosque constructed on Waqf land is regarded as Waqf.
