A new urban city will be constructed surrounding Raya on the Yamuna Expressway. The Yogi Adityanath government has given approval to the Master Plan-2031 for the Raya Urban Center as part of Phase-2 of the Yamuna Authority’s expansion. This city spanning 11,653.76 hectares will have all contemporary amenities. There is potential for future expansion as well.
Once the government gives its approval, the development plan will be formulated and subsequent processes such as land acquisition will be initiated. The allocation of land has been determined for each individual. In order to provide residents of Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, and surrounding districts with job opportunities close to home, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority intends to create a new city near Raya, Tappal-Bajna, and Agra within its designated area.
During Phase-2, a suggestion was put forward to create a fresh urban area called Raya Urban Center, which was then submitted to the government as part of Master Plan-2031. The government has given the go-ahead for Master Plan-2031 with an expanded area of 11,653.76 hectares, up from 9366.2 hectares.
The authority’s area has now extended to Bareilly-Mathura road on the right side of Yamuna Expressway with the master plan being approved. The master plan will include the development of various sectors such as industrial, residential, commercial, office, and mixed-use. The most elevated residential zone will be present. There will be a focus on boosting the tourism industry’s growth.
A new project, the Raya Urban Center, is being proposed on both sides of Yamuna Expressway, each covering a three-kilometer stretch. To achieve this, the land of the villages will be taken over. This will become apparent following the computation. Allow us to inform you that Raya Heritage City is included in Master-2031 as well.
The Raya Urban Center Master Plan-2031 will not be altered or modified without government approval. All rules and provisions in effect will be followed to ensure compliance during the implementation of the master plan.
Due to the growing issue of pollution in urban areas, 8.98 percent of the land in this upcoming city will be set aside for green spaces. A green space of 1046.48 hectares will be available. This will aid in addressing the issue of pollution. Development will also occur along the river’s edge.
The upcoming Raya Urban Center located along the Yamuna Expressway is expected to draw high tourism interest because of its close distance to Mathura, Vrindavan, and Agra. With this in mind, a total of 1520.21 hectares of land have been set aside for tourism development, comprising 13.5% of the entire area.
Arunvir Singh, CEO of Yamuna Authority, stated that the government has given approval to the Raya Urban Center Master Plan-2031. Plans are underway to create a blueprint for the development of a new city close to Raya, situated along the Yamuna Expressway. Once all required procedures have been accomplished, the land acquisition process will commence. Individuals will have the chance to secure job positions in the upcoming city.
