The Yogi administration in UP has endorsed the Supreme Court’s ruling regarding bulldozer operations. During the proceedings of the case regarding Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind vs North Delhi Municipal Corporation and others, it stated that the executive should not assume the role of the judiciary to determine guilt. If the executive randomly tears down an individual’s house solely because he is accused, it constitutes a breach of the principle of separation of powers.

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, a reaction was provided by the Yogi administration. In this reply, it was stated that the primary requirement of the rule of law is effective governance. The ruling provided by the Supreme Court is appreciated.

In a statement released by the Yogi government, it was mentioned that the ruling made by the Supreme Court will instill a sense of fear regarding the law among offenders. This choice will simplify the management of mafia groups or structured criminal professionals.

In a declaration made by the government, it is stated that this choice enforces the rule of law for all. The Yogi government explicitly stated in its announcement that while the Supreme Court’s directive pertained to Delhi, the Uttar Pradesh government was not involved in it.
