Owaisi questioned the presence of non-Muslims in the Waqf Board when it is being suggested to exclude non-Hindus from the TTD board.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has made a significant statement regarding the Waqf Board and Tirumala Board. He mentioned that there are discussions about excluding all non-Hindus from the TTD board. Conversely, the Modi administration is introducing a clause in the legislation allowing for two non-Hindus to be included in the Waqf Board Council.

Owaisi also mentioned that TTD represents Hinduism and Waqf represents Islam. Why is it not possible for the rules to be the same for both? The AIMIM MP also added that if non-Muslims are allowed in the Waqf Board, then why can’t Muslims be trustees of TTD?

During his conversation with the press, Owaisi referenced several regulations concerning the Tirumala Board. He mentioned that all members of this trust are Hindu. He also mentioned that this only pertains to the trust’s members. The current chairman of the board is now stating that all employees should practice Hinduism. The chairman is making this statement within the context of Hinduism. We have no issue with this.

The MP from AIMIM also stated that we have concerns about the bill on the Waqf Board. He mentioned that the Modi administration is proposing for two non-Muslim members to be included in the Central Waqf Council. What is the reason behind introducing these measures in the Waqf Bill?

Owaisi also mentioned that there is a similar request for all Muslim representatives to be part of the State Waqf Board. However, that is also being decreased in the bill that is being suggested. He questioned the reason for non-Muslims being present in the Waqf Board.
