Indian army in search operation for terrorists in Reasi attack

The Reasi terror attack happened two days ago, and horrific stories of the attack are coming from the survivors. The terrorists ambushed the bus at 6 p.m. on Sunday and attacked Hindu pilgrims. As a result of the attack, the bus carrying the pilgrims fell into a gorge. The attack killed 10 and injured 33 others. The terror attack on Reasi has angered the whole nation.

As a result of the attack, the Indian army started a search operation to find the terrorists responsible for the attack. Some residents, CRPF, and police personnel helped save survivors from the attack. The survivors are receiving treatment from hospitals following the attack. Some of the survivors have shared horrific accounts of what happened to them.

Here’s What The Survivors of Reasi Attack Said

One of the survivors, Santosh (30), is undergoing treatment at Reasi Hospital. He said that a masked man in combat gear stood in the middle of the road and fired many rounds. He said, “I could hear intermittent gunshots when the bus was rolling down the mountainside.”

A video of an eyewitness has surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), in which the eyewitness shares a horrific account of the attack. The eyewitness was sitting near the driver, he said, “First of all, the terrorist shot the driver in the forehead, after which the bus fell into a ditch. After that, the terrorists kept firing intermittently for about an hour.” As per the eyewitnesses, two terrorists fired at the bus in the Reasi terror attack.

Another survivor said the bus was flooded with 25 to 30 rounds before it fell into the deep gorge.

“Any Bullet Could Have Hit Me” – UP Survivor

A survivor from Uttar Pradesh, Pradeep Kumar (38), described his near-death experience. He said, “Thank God that our bus fell into the gorge, otherwise, the attackers would have shot everyone dead. He also added, “A few more attackers joined and started firing indiscriminately at us. The attackers stopped firing only when the passengers stopped screaming, believing everyone had died.”

Recalling the dreadful hour of his life, he went ahead to talk about his fear. He said, “As the bus rolled down the ditch, I woke up to find everyone screaming. Any bullet could have hit me. I was thinking of my family, my three sons, aged 7, 9, and 11.”

Here’s What The SSP of Reasi Said:

Reasi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mohita Sharma, said, “It appears the terrorists were waiting for the bus.” The SSP also added, “The driver was hit by gunfire and lost control of the vehicle.

On terrorists, the SSP said, “Five teams have been formed to search in the area. The Indian Army has launched a wide-scale search operation. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has also reached Reasi, and drones are also being used to search the dense forest area.
