Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya marked the completion of eight years of Udan by saying, “Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious Udan scheme has reached its 8th anniversary.” Udan Yojana is a initiative that seeks to offer inexpensive and convenient air transportation to all regular individuals.
Due to PM Modi’s forward thinking, there has been a significant expansion in the aviation sector, increasing the number of airports in India from 74 in 2014 to 157 in 2024, with plans to further increase to 350-400 by 2047. Today, the dream of many citizens in Uttar Pradesh for affordable air travel has come true, thanks to the increasing number of international airports and improved regional connectivity from operational airports.
