The family of Jivan Singh was informed by the Indian Army about his martyrdom on Friday morning, leading to a village-wide wave of grief. The body of Jeevan Singh arrived at his village in the evening, receiving state honors before being cremated with full honors. The remains of martyr Rifleman Jeevan Singh were transported from Gulmarg to the Air Force Center, then to his village Rohan in a military vehicle. Jeevan Singh enlisted in the military in 2016 and was stationed in Rajputana Rifles. His wife Komal and younger daughter Bhisha are in shock, with the parents also devastated by the sudden death of their child. The whole village is engulfed in a wave of grief, with individuals frequently visiting his home to offer condolences to the family.
