On Friday, the Public Works Department (PWD) issued a demolition notice for Abdul Hameed’s house due to illegal construction, following his involvement in the Bahraich violence. Hameed and four others are currently in police custody.

The Uttar Pradesh police shot Sarfaraz and Mohammad Talib in the leg as they were reportedly attempting to escape to Nepal. They are currently receiving medical care.

Prashant Kumar, the UP Director General of Police (DGP), stated that two out of the five individuals captured following the Bahraich violence sustained injuries in the operation, with the other three being apprehended. He further mentioned that the current situation is now being managed.
