Malayalam film stars Roshan Mathew and Nimisha Sajayan are coming together for the new movie Chera. Based on the most recent news, filming for the movie has been finished.
Previously, the creators unveiled the initial Chera poster, which appears to have drawn inspiration from Michelangelo’s renowned Renaissance sculpture Pieta. The poster showcased Roshan Mathew and Nimisha Sajayan, the main actors in the movie described as a thriller.
Lijin Jose, renowned for Law Point and Friday, directs Chera. Najeem Koya wrote the screenplay and Shahabaz Aman will create the music for the film, with the lyrics written by Anwar Ali. Alex J Pulikkal will oversee the cinematography for Chera while Francis Louis will take care of the editing.
Ajay Jose has been tasked with creating the soundtrack for Chera. There are high expectations for this movie with Nimisha Sajayan as the main character. In contrast, Roshan Mathew’s most recent project was the comedy Maharani, helmed by G Marthandan and featuring Shine Tom Chacko as the main actor. Regrettably, the movie failed to perform well financially. The audience gave positive reviews to Roshan’s latest web series, Poacher.
At the same time, Nimisha Sajayan has a number of highly anticipated projects coming up. Some examples include DNA, Enna Vilai, Gangs of Kuruthi Punal, and Dead for Each Other.
Nimisha Sajayan’s most recent Malayalam project was the movie Adrishya Jalakangal, where she starred alongside Tovino Thomas and was directed by Biju Damodaran.
In a prior interview, Roshan discussed what drew him to Chera. “The story immediately caught my attention as soon as I heard it.” At that moment, I was also anticipating collaborating with Nimisha. He stated that was a significant aspect.
I had observed Friday by Lijin Jose and the documentary Eight And Half Intercuts as well. He was clearly someone with a unique perspective. He is a filmmaker with his own personality.
I believe that for a filmmaker with only one commercial movie under their belt, they are courageous in exploring their own unique style. Roshan clarified that he is not one to conform to trends and is prepared to deal with the outcomes.
