Since his first appearance in Ken Ghosh’s romantic comedy “Ishq Vishk” in 2003, Shahid Kapoor’s career has flourished remarkably. Rajeev Masand, an ex-journalist, disclosed a fascinating anecdote from the past during a podcast episode on the Shaardulogy YouTube channel.

He recounted that Shahid Kapoor insisted on re-recording his first interview with Masand due to dissatisfaction with his own voice.

Rajeev shared his first interaction with Shahid Kapoor

Rajeev shared, “My first interaction with Shahid was during an interview that lasted about 30-35 minutes, around the time ‘Ishq Vishk’ was released.

It was probably one of his initial interviews. After we finished, Shahid wanted to review it. He watched it and then expressed how he didn’t like the way he sounded, so we ended up redoing the entire interview.”

He further added, “But it showed his commitment to perfection and excellence. It reminded me of a similar incident with Rekha ji a few years back. After completing an interview with her – and she rarely agrees to them – she decided she didn’t want it aired. That interview is still with me, unused, because she wanted to redo it.”

Rajeev refrained from naming the senior actress

Moreover, Rajeev brought up an episode from one of his eminent actors’ roundtables, where a seasoned actress unexpectedly lashed out at a younger colleague “without any apparent reason.”

Upon the younger actor’s request, he agreed to edit out the confrontation, acknowledging that it was unjust. Although he refrained from naming the senior actress, he hinted at her being notoriously quick-tempered.
