Kareena Kapoor Khan might soon be seen in her first South film, but not in a Yash film

In March, there were many rumors circulating that Kareena Kapoor Khan, also known as Bollywood’s Bebo, is preparing to make her first appearance in the southern film industry. While interacting with a fan, the actress accidentally revealed that she could be working on a major South Indian film for the first time, expressing her excitement about the opportunity. Speculations quickly emerged that the actress could have been cast in Yash’s upcoming 19th film, Toxic. According to a recent gossip, it could be non-toxic.

Recently, actresses such as Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Janhavi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, as well as Bollywood actors like Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Saif Ali Khan have started working in the South film industry. According to her fan interaction, Kareena Kapoor Khan could be the most recent actress added to the list.

There have been no confirmation reports from her end regarding agreeing to Yash’s Toxic. According to rumors that are not yet verified, the actress might have missed out on a chance but is now preparing to feature in a high-budget film as compensation.

Since her first film Refugee in 2000, Kareena Kapoor Khan has become one of the leading and reliable actresses in India. Whether it’s films focused on content or more commercial ones, the actress has been consistently producing successful projects. In 2023, she appeared in Jaane Jaan, while in 2024, she had roles in The Crew and The Buckingham Murders. She has started filming her next movie, Singham Again.

The Buckingham Murders, Hansal Mehta’s first production venture, made its debut at the 2023 BFI London Film Festival.

On September 13, just before reaching the age of 44 on September 21, The Buckingham Murders premiered in theaters. It is also created by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Kapoor Khan plays a British-Indian detective who is grieving and investigates the murder of a child in Buckinghamshire in the movie. Critics have praised the film for the actress’s strong and stripped-down performance.
