May 31, Cinema Lovers Day, is stirring excitement among Delhi’s movie enthusiasts, eagerly booking seats not for the latest blockbusters but for beloved classics instead! Cult favourites like “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and “Rockstar” (both from 2011), along with the more recent “Animal” (2023), are drawing crowds with their enticing ticket price of just ₹99. It’s no surprise that cinephiles are seizing this opportunity to revisit these gems on the big screen.

Gauri Aggarwal, a final-year BSc (Hons) Statistics student at Ramjas College, shares her excitement: “My college friends and I adore Ranbir Kapoor, especially in ‘Rockstar’. Despite having an exam today, we’re planning to watch the afternoon showing of ‘Rockstar’ in Patel Nagar. I was only 7 when it first came out and have since watched it numerous times on OTT platforms. But watching Ranbir perform with Mohit Chauhan’s voice in a cinema is truly a dream come true!”

The excitement isn’t confined to students alone. Fayeza Rahman, a copywriter from Vasundhara Enclave, is looking forward to rewatching “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” with her sister, who is in the midst of her final exams. Rahman comments, “Missing this chance to see Hrithik (Roshan) on the big screen after so long is not an option. Exams come and go, but experiences like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ are once in a lifetime.”
