Alia Bhatt has been receiving praised from all directions for her upcoming movie Jigra where she stars alongside Vedang Raina. The trailer has been released by the producers and her performance has left fans impressed. Arjun Kapoor also posted the trailer and complimented the movie. Janhvi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Sharvari responded to the impactful trailer before.
Arjun took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “Come on guys, just let me see the movie already.” Posting the trailer on her Instagram story, the Dhadak actress said, “Vedang Raina, my heart is with you in the trailer, who knows what state we’ll be in during the movie. I’m so excited for Alia Bhatt to become Bachchan’s lady. “Appears very impressive.” Neetu Kapoor penned down, “Giving me goosebumps and leaving an impact.” However, Alia’s mother, a veteran star, described the trailer as “Outstanding.” At the same time, Neha Dhupia, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Kritika Kamra, along with others, expressed their good wishes and backing for the movie.
The trailer opens with Alia Bhatt’s character getting a late-night phone call, informing her that her brother, Ankur (portrayed by Vedang Raina), has been taken into custody. Baffled and anxious, she inquires if he has committed any wrongdoing and if his blood tests will come back clear. Ankur is seen in a court of law in a different nation, not able to comprehend the language, and consequently being arrested.
Alia embarks on a mission with determination to rescue her brother, eager to reunite with him. She wonders if causing harm to herself would convince the officials to allow her to see him, yet she is constantly refused entry. We observe her journey to the country where he is detained as she kicks off her efforts to secure his freedom. In the trailer, there is intense action as Alia does daring stunts to save her brother from being tortured in jail, while also avoiding guards and taking extreme measures. Despite encountering obstacles at every corner, she remains determined and refuses to quit.
Alia Bhatt discussed Jigra and shared details about its storyline last year. She had disclosed that the movie portrays ‘bravery, love, and perseverance’.
