Citizens in Delhi can file claims and objections regarding the draft electoral roll between October 29 and November 28.

On Tuesday, the Delhi Chief Electoral Office (CEO) began a special summary revision of the electoral roll across all 70 seats, intending to update and correct voter data

This program allows people to change their information, notice inconsistencies, and file objections to any incorrect inclusions in the voter list.

Citizens can register claims and objections to the draft roll from October 29 to November 28. Final resolutions on these claims are scheduled for December 24, and the final electoral roll will be issued on January 6, 2025.

Eligible citizens who turn 18 on or before January 1, 2025, as well as those who will reach this age on other qualifying days throughout 2025, such as April 1, July 1, and October 1, may apply in advance for inclusion on the electoral roll using Form 6. Advance applications will be processed during the first month of each quarter.

Citizens can obtain detailed constituency-specific draft electoral rolls online at www.ceodelhi.gov.in or at designated polling stations. Individuals who have had their names wrongfully deleted can file an appeal or use Form 6 to seek inclusion.

The Election Commission has also made this procedure easier by providing a variety of online platforms and mobile apps, such as the Voter Helpline and the “Saksham” app for those with disabilities. If you have any queries,

The CEO has also recommended people to check that their names are on the roll, as a voter ID alone does not guarantee the ability to vote. To participate in the next elections, a voter’s name must be on the official list.

Voters have been advised not to have their names on the electoral roll in more than one seat or in any constituency more than once, as this is a serious crime under Sections 17 and 18 of the Representation of People Act, 1950.
