The police have arrested three minors in connection with the incident.

Three males on a motorcycle opened fire on three companions heading home on a scooter last night in Kabir Nagar, North East Delhi, killing one and injuring two others. Nadeem and his two companions were on their way to pick up supper when the attackers assaulted them on the street. Nadeem was tragically shot, while his friend was seriously injured. The perpetrators fired seven bullets before departing the area, taking Nadeem’s scooter and phone but leaving their motorcycle behind.

Locals raced to the scene, transporting the injured to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where Nadeem died from his injuries. His buddy, whose health is critical, is still receiving care. The police have launched a murder and attempted murder inquiry, and the body has been submitted for a postmortem.

The police have arrested three children in connection with the incident. According to sources, one of the three jailed juveniles had borrowed money from Nadeem and was under pressure to repay. Police investigations are underway, with authorities reviewing CCTV footage.

The perpetrators are linked to a shooting incident in adjacent Jyoti Nagar. Police claim the same group fired six shots outside Rahul’s house earlier that night. The three adolescents, who were arrested with three country-made firearms, are in detention and being interrogated.

In a separate operation, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch apprehended two major members of a guns supply syndicate and seized thirteen pistols. Shakeel, the major arms supplier, has been charged with over 17 criminal offenses, including his involvement in the Hanuman Jayanti riots in Jahangirpur. More than 50 firearms have been collected from various vendors in just the last week alone.
