Hours after a Class VI pupil died at Fortis Hospital on Tuesday, purportedly as a result of a scuffle, numerous parents gathered outside the school to protest. Meanwhile, his family is demanding answers.

Sitting at the Vasant Vihar police station, waiting for the police to file a case, the child’s father stated, “He was OK when I dropped him off. He was an energetic child and enjoyed playing football. The 12-year-old went to school as usual on Tuesday morning, and a few hours later, he was pronounced dead at Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj.

“I was told to come to FMS around 10 am since my son had fallen ill in school… when I got there, they gave me his body wrapped in a white cloth rather,” asserted the boy’s father, who fell after identifying the body of his son. His cousin was left to take the child’s mother home, who was distraught with grief.

as I went to drop off my sister back at her house, all I saw was the gold my nephew collected at school. It was uncomfortable. He was a gorgeous child. I used to go to the park every day to play football with him. What is the status of Gareeb’s Pass? What have the impoverished got? Their child is the only asset they have).”
