In a disturbing occurrence, a 30-year-old man has been arrested for putting spycams in his tenant’s washroom and bedroom. The incident happened in the Shakarpur neighbourhood of Delhi. The woman wants to work in the civil service.
When the woman went out of town, she would give the son of her landlord, Karan, the keys to her rented home. While she was away, he put spycams in the apartment’s bathroom and bedroom light fixtures.
The woman discovered the man’s purported voyeurism after she noticed strange behaviour on her WhatsApp. She realized that her WhatsApp account was hooked into an unknown laptop. She closed the app. But then she realized someone was spying on her.
“After being advised to check her linked devices, she discovered that her WhatsApp account was logged into an unknown laptop and she promptly logged out of it,” Apoorva Gupta, deputy commissioner of police (east), said PTI.
The spycam was initially discovered by the woman in the toilet lightbulb holder. On Monday, she gave the cops a call. Another camera was then discovered in her bedroom.
The woman told the police that she used to hand her keys to Karan, and they questioned him.
Karan, who resides in the same building, acknowledged during questioning that he put the cameras three months ago when she departed for her homeland in Uttar Pradesh.
He purchased three spycams that are widely sold in electronics stores, and he set up one in her bathroom and one in her bedroom. The police claimed that because Karan wanted to transfer the recorded videos from the memory card to his laptop, he would frequently ask the woman for the keys to her home under the guise of fixing fans and light fixtures because these cameras could not be operated online.
