On Tuesday, September 17 senior AAP leader Atishi has been named as the new CM of Delhi, and is selected as the leader of Aam Aadmi Janta party, after Arvind Kejriwal. She is going to be the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi.
Atishi expressed her gratitude to Kejriwal by calling him “Guru”and said “First of all, I thank Delhi’s beloved Chief Minister and my guru, Arvind Kejriwal for giving me such a big responsibility. Today he has given me the responsibility to be the CM. I’m happy that he has shown so much faith in me.” while addressing the media.
She expressed that instead of being happy she’s more sad and shared her sadness about Kejriwal’s resignation.
Additionally she said that ” there is only one Chief Minister of Delhi and that is Arvind Kejriwal” on behalf of the MLAs and citizens of Delhi.
She mentioned that Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) put false claims on Arvind Kejriwal and kept him inside of jail for 6 months. Finally, the Supreme court gave him bail, she even called the Central Government’s investigative agencies a caged parrot.
Arvind Kejriwal who’s been leading Delhi, will formally resign later today.
