A 19-year-old guy was detained on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing one man to death and badly injuring another in Pitampura’s Maurya Enclave while enraged by alleged bullying.

Abhishek Dhania, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West), said Wednesday that on November 19, police hurried to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital after receiving a PCR call at Maurya Enclave Police Station reporting the admission of two injured people.

When the police arrived at the hospital, they discovered that one of the victims had died from numerous knife wounds to the abdomen, while another had many stab wounds to the back.

 Inspector Madan Lal Meena, Station House Officer, Maurya Enclave, led the investigative team, which was supervised by Shailendra Singh Chauhan, ACP, Subhash Place. After executing many raids and gathering intelligence, they detained Vikas, a Pitampura resident, and seized the murder weapon, a knife.

“During interrogation, Vikas confessed to the crime, claiming that the altercation began because the deceased, Manish, reportedly bullied him. Unable to bear the humiliation, Vikas took a knife from his residence and assaulted both victims,” added DCP police hurried to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital after receiving a PCR call at Maurya Enclave Police Station reporting the admission of two injured people.
