Delhi Court granted bail to Lalu Prasad Yadav and eight others, including Tejashwi Yadav.

The Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and eight other accused, including his son Tei Pratap and Teiashwi Yadav, in the land-for-job scam on Monday. Special Judge Vishal Gogne approved their release on bail for Rs 1 lakh each, emphasizing that they were not taken into custody during the case investigation, according to news agency PTI.

The case is scheduled for the upcoming hearing on October 25. The defendant showed up in court after being summoned by the court. The judge issued the summons after considering an additional charge sheet against the accused individuals.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) submitted the ultimate report to the court on August 6. The ED submitted its case following a FIR filed by the CBI in the matter. During the court hearing, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav confidently stated that his family will definitely win and blamed the ruling BJP for planning a political conspiracy.

They continue to engage in political plots. They abuse organizations. There is nothing tangible in this situation. Tejashwi Yadav declared that our triumph is guaranteed. The lawsuit relates to Group-D hires in the railways’ West Central Zone located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh while Prasad was the railway minister from 2004 to 2009. The recruits allegedly gifted or transferred land parcels to RJD leader’s family or associates, according to the ED.
