The man proceeds to verbally attack the bihar student, demanding to know why he was permitted to take the exam without being a resident of Bengal.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh, a senior BJP official, criticized the Mamata Banerjee government for its handling of the two Bihar students who were reportedly attacked by unknown individuals in West Bengal. He posted a video of the event on his social media platform X.

Singh pondered in his post why the students were subjected to beatings and inquired, “Are these kids not considered as Indian citizens?”

Is there a red carpet welcome for Rohingya Muslims in Bengal and Bihar while a kid gets beaten up for taking an exam? Are these kids not considered as Indian citizens? The Union Minister questioned if the Mamata government has solely focused on protecting rapists by taking their contracts.

The alleged video, now widely circulated, captures one man disrespectfully interrogating the students as another man films the attack. In the video, a man questions the student about his origin, to which the student responds that he is from Bihar and is present to sit for an exam.

The man proceeds to mistreat the student, wondering how he was permitted to take the exam without being a Bengal resident. He additionally requests to view the student’s proof of residence document.

The students are also obligated to perform the up-and-down penalties while gripping their ears and can be observed begging the man with folded hands.

Commenting on the situation, Arjun Singh, BJP Lok Sabha representative from Barrackpore, mentioned, “Bengali young adults can also travel to Bihar and UP for such job opportunities, so what’s the issue?” A lot of young people from West Bengal participated in the Teacher’s recruitment in Bihar not long ago.

He also implored the Chief Secretary of West Bengal and the West Bengal Police to make sure that such conduct is “handled firmly”.

Chirag Paswan accuses Mamata of disrespecting Biharis

Chirag Paswan, leader of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), criticized Mamata Banerjee for disrespecting Biharis and asked if it was wrong to appear for an exam in West Bengal.

The unfortunate and condemnable event of an attack on Bihari students in West Bengal is very sad. Paswan stated in his post that the Chief Minister of the state has once again disrespected the Biharis, which is unacceptable.

He also inquired: “I would like to inquire from Mamata Banerjee ji, is it considered a criminal offense to participate in an examination in West Bengal? Will the leaders of the opposing party continue to stay quiet? I would like to inquire from the Leader of Opposition in Bihar, what reasons do you have for supporting the Trinamool Congress at this time. I urge the respected Chief Minister Shri @NitishKumar ji to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and take legal action against the perpetrators.

TMC states that our state operates under a democratic system

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh responded to Singh’s accusations by saying, “That is not true.” There could be issues in the area due to an influx of people from different states and locals traveling elsewhere, but no such problems have been reported.

Ghosh also stated that the Trinamool Congress government in Bengal is open to all and emphasized, “Our state practices democracy.”
