Commissioner B Dayanand of the city police said today that the main suspect in the horrifying murder in Bengaluru, where parts of a woman’s body were discovered in a refrigerator, has been identified and arrest procedures are underway. It’s being looked into from every perspective. The chief of municipal police informed the media that “the prime suspect has been identified and efforts are underway to arrest him.” “He is not one of us. More details cannot be released at this time since they could assist the accused,” he continued.
State Home Minister G Parameshwara stated earlier today that cops have gathered a great deal of data about the woman’s demise. “A large number of clues and information have been gathered by the police. Additionally, one person has been… We really can’t say until we gather additional data. They think he’s from West Bengal,” he said to reporters.
In response to a query regarding the state government’s efforts to improve women’s safety, the minister stated, “We have already implemented numerous safety measures to ensure the protection of women.” We take it extremely seriously.”
A woman’s body was discovered in about thirty pieces in her Bengaluru home’s refrigerator on Saturday. Mahalakshmi, the woman, lived alone in the one-bedroom home.
Although Mahalakshmi had been residing in Bengaluru, she was actually from another state, according to senior police official N Satheesh Kumar. She was a mall employee. Her spouse works in a different city.
The portions of her body had rotted and become worm-infested when the police discovered them. They believe she was killed at least two weeks prior to the body pieces being discovered.
The incident has set off a tremendous political backlash, with the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah being targeted by the Opposition BJP.
“Under @INCKarnataka rule, appeasement policies have led to a complete collapse of law and order. The brutal murder of Mahalakshmi by Ashraf is a clear reminder that Kannadigas are no longer safe in this Hitler-led @siddaramaiah government,” stated the BJP government of Karnatka on this case of Bengaluru on a post of X (formerly Twitter)
