Neel Garg, A Senior Aap Punjab Representative, Criticized The Brutal Assault On The Party'S Sarpanch Contender In Jalalabad.
Neel Garg, a senior AAP Punjab representative, criticized the brutal assault on the party's sarpanch contender in Jalalabad.

Mandeep Singh Brar, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was reportedly injured in a shooting incident in Fazilka district, Punjab, which supposedly involved a member of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) party.

Brar suffered a gunshot injury and first received treatment at a hospital in Jalalabad before being transferred to a medical facility in Ludhiana because of his serious condition. The shooting allegedly took place outside the BDPO office following a heated dispute.

Violence is not welcome in our democracy. The distressing assault on our sarpanch nominee in Jalalabad is very alarming. The @AamAadmi Party stands for peace, progress, and equality for everyone. Neel Garg, senior spokesperson for AAP in Punjab, stated that they strongly oppose criminal mindsets and call on authorities to act quickly.

AAP MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy of Jalalabad alleged on Saturday that SAD leader Vardev Singh Mann had shot at the party’s leader. Sources say Mann, the offspring of ex-MP Zora Singh Mann, went to the BDPO office seeking information on a school-related file but was turned away. After the rejection, tensions rose outside the office, resulting in a conflict between Mann and Brar, in which a shot was said to have been fired.
